The relatives have arrived. Which means it's a hell of a lot harder to be a hermit, & I can't spend hours at a time playing Final Fantasy VIII, & I can't be holed up in my room. But thankfully I got myself out of participating in the production of "The Nutcracker" that three of my cousins are rehearsing upstairs at the moment. & all I had to do was facepalm at the opportune moment.

Oh great & now the cousins are coming to read over my shoulder. I think I should get off. They need my assistance for something

ZOMG. I cannot convey the sheer amount of win of this. It leads to an insane amount of hilarity.

Today on the way home from school the radio began playing Christmas songs. My mum and I were like, "WHAT'S THIS? WHAT'S THIS?" It's NOVEMBER 14TH, DAMN IT. Don't they know that there are people like me for whom the Christmas season does not start until after November 29th? Or December 1st, really. Seriously. Is there really any need to start commercializing Christmas this early? Where's Linus to tell everybody that this is not what Christmas is all about? (Yes, can't you tell that A Charlie Brown Christmas is my favorite Christmas special?)

Although I just realized that this mini-rant is kind of ironic because I've been rehearsing for a Christmas show since September. But that's different. To me, at least.

Merry day-after-Christmas!

I was going to send you all v-gifts... but then I didn't go online yesterday. I might send out New Year's ones, though.

My gift haul this year:

- tons of candy in my stocking
- gift card to the movies (I don't remember how much it's for)
- gift card to Panera (either for $10 or $15, I can't remember)
- "glittery gumdrop" lotion (for my locker, so I can stop stealing from Clarisse)
- more chocolate! (dark chocolate with mint filling, dark chocolate with raspberry filling, and milk chocolate with caramel filling)
- brown "life is good" sweatshirt
- turquoise pullover fleece thing
- socks that are designed not to match!
- Friends season 10
- Lost season 3
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
- Harry Potter page a day calendar
- Analysis book for season 3 of Lost
- Harry Potter pillows
- Holiday Beanie Babies! (huge flashback to my younger years)
- Some good-smelling body wash in various flavors
- Two Harry Potter notebooks
- A "Weird and Wonderful Words" book
- And from Santa: an external DVD drive that does all kinds of fancy stuff. The software even comes with a movie-making program that might just be better than Windows Movie Maker. This one has a FIRE FILTER. Do you know how much more amusing things become when they look like they're on fire?

I'm probably forgetting a few things here, but my mom is nagging me to unload groceries so I must go.

Also? The relatives are coming tomorrow, I think. So if I am out of commission for a while, it's because I am too busy being a source of entertainment.

So by tomorrow all my relatives will be gone and life will be quiet again. I don't know what was worse: having to deal with three cousins running around being noisy or dealing with entertaining one cousin when all her little cousin friends left. Quite frankly I would rather just sit and be anti-social with Jacob's Gameboy, though I did have a lot of fun winning at Disney Scene-It twice.

My second round of gifts consisted of:

- A pair of socks with a $15 iTunes gift card in it
- A $25 Barnes & Noble gift card
- Tarzan on DVD (YAY!) and the Broadway Tarzan soundtrack
- Latin page-a-day calander (I'm considering putting this in my locker so people will be attracted to my locker and so Clarisse won't think it's "boring)

Last night and this morning I watched Tarzan, and that is a very very sad movie. I cried. And I always have a strong desire to say, "Tell your sister... you were right..." when Kerchak is dying, even though that most clearly belongs in Return of the Jedi. But I'm also happy because I've been playing tons of KH: Chain of Memories (because that's basically what I do if I'm around Jacob when he has his Gameboy around), and I've seen tons of Axel. I must stop being in love with pixelated evil/misunderstood people.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL =)

So. A rundown of my gifts. (I'm the first one to do this yay! except I'm getting more on Wednesday so this isn't entirely everything)

- A bunch of candy (including about 10 boxes of Every-Flavor Beans)
- A bunch of DVDs (Pirates of the Caribbean 2, Save The Last Dance, Center Stage, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid)
- A bunch of CDs (Lost Season 2 soundtrack, Happy Feet soundtrack, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban soundtrack, Mary Poppins soundtrack)
- 2 pairs of fuzzy socks
- pens and pencils
- A Lost sweatshirt
- A Lost t-shirt
- 2 Lost analysis books
- A fairly large notebook with a Lost cover
- 3 Lost action figures (Hurley, Locke, and Charlie)
- Harry Potter wizards' chess
- A Harry Potter levitating pen
- A Harry Potter wand (not Voldemort's or Snape's though...)
- A clock radio with an iPod dock
- Matching hat, gloves, and scarf set
- light-up sword keychain

& I think that's all. Wow, it looks like a lot when I put it that way...

Chances are you might not be hearing from me for a while, because I'm fairly certain that my cousins from New York (formerly from North Carolina) are coming tomorrow and my cousins from New Hampshire are coming Wednesday. I'll try to pop on so I can respond to comments, but this will probably be my last full-fledged entry for a couple of days.

I just got finished watching Pirates of the Caribbean 2. I HATE THE ENDING. Damn cliffhanger. It's just as bad as the whole "Dammit, Kate, run!" thing on Lost.

Yesterday I was really bored so I played Kingdom Hearts on a file where I was at the end of Halloween Town. So I finished Halloween Town and went to Neverland and then went to fight in some tournaments in the Coliseum. But then Hercules killed me so I was just like, "screw you Hercules, I'm going to Hollow Bastion." So I did, and I got to see my favorite cutscene when Riku is all, "The darkness will destroy you," and Sora is all, "You're wrong. The darkness may destroy my body, but it can't touch my heart." (And I pretty much just skipped over Atlantica because I hate that place, even though you get to hear the really cool boss music during the giant Ursula battle.) So now I'm in the Library and I don't know if I'm going to play anymore because I have to do those nasty Maleficent battles and if I want to see another really good cutscene when Kairi is all, "No! I won't let him go!" I have to beat up Riku again and that battle is really hard and I don't like to die.

Today is Christmas Eve =) And I'm still not really feeling the spirit. I suppose once we watch some Christmas movies (usually we watch Home Alone on Christmas Eve) and after I go be a prophet in the Christmas pageant, I might feel it a little more. But really, I don't feel the spirit until Christmas Day and then on the days after when we have relatives invade my house and I have no time whatsoever to myself. But my mom said yesterday that I might not have to have cousins sleep in my room, which made me happy because then I can still type and watch movies.

I'm also happy because my brother and I are getting my mom season 7 of Friends for Christmas which means after she's watched it all I can steal it and watch it on my laptop with subtitles. I'm also very proud of myself because I managed to wrap the battery-powered cell phone charger that my brother got for my mom and it's not square or rectangular! And it doesn't look that bad!

Well I have 10 minutes until my mom wants me in the playroom to clean stuff up... =\ So I think I'll have time to read a chapter or two of something I've been reading on Fictionpress before I have to go do work. Somehow my mom always manages to make me clean on Christmas Eve.

I just got back from two hours of Christmas Pageant rehearsal at my church. Lots and lots of fun.... (can you sense my sarcasm?)

So did y'all hear the title of the 7th Harry Potter book? "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"... Sounds pretty interesting. Any book with "death" in the title sounds fun (hahaha). But there was an interesting thing on Mugglenet: there was a part in OOTP where there was a smashed prophecy that said, "at the solstice will coem a new... and none will come after..." and the last title of the last HP book was released on the winter solstice... yeah, that was pretty cool.

So it seems that as I'm getting older, Christmas seems to come faster. I mean, it used to be that every day I'd be so excited to put the little ornament on the little wall hanging that has a felt ornament for every day of December to put on a felt tree. But now... I don't know. It's just hard to believe that it's "Christmas Eve Eve." And I wish it was snowing instead of raining. It's sad how people lose Christmas spirit as they get older =( Maybe I need to go wrap some presents or something.

I realized that as cheesy as Star Wars Attack of the Clones is, there is one heck of a lot of foreshadowing in it. Some of my favorite bits are when Count Dooku takes the plans of the Death Star to give to Darth Sidious and  when Anakin is being all angsty and says to Padme "One day I will be the most powerful Jedi ever! I will even learn how to stop people from dying." But the best part is when Anakin and Padme are at the farm place on Tatooine and R2 comes over and Anakin and Padme are like, "What are you doing here?" and 3PO says, "He seems to be carrying a message from an Obi-Wan Kenobi." (It's foreshadowing because in A New Hope R2 is also carrying a message from Obi-Wan and C-3PO relays the information to Luke). There's also when Obi-Wan camoflauges himself on an asteroid, and in Empire Strikes Back, Han camoflauges the Millennium Falcon on a Star Destroyer (and Boba Fett knows of this ploy... Hmm...)

Yes, I /know/ I'm a geek. Get over it.
