We have our Christmas tree up now. It's an artificial tree because what with the power being out for most of the past week & all the ice and snow, we decided that we weren't going to go with a real tree this year. Except my mum got a Yankee Candle plug-in scent that smells like pine trees, so it still seems like we have a real tree. Speaking of Christmas spirit, I found the Yankee Swap CD that I got last year, and I promptly loaded it onto my computer because I forgot how awesome it is. Most Christmas music drives me absolutely insane after a while (especially when it's been playing non-stop on the radio for a month), but I discovered that if there was one kind of Christmas music that I could listen to all year long, it would be the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. "The Nutcracker Suite" is total win. Because I mean, the Nutcracker with electric guitar? That's pretty awesome.
There's a new trailer for season five of Lost. It is so *spazzflail*-inducing. Because there is a dark hooded figure and someone set on fire! (

Things I have thus far accomplished on this snow day:
1. I wrote a bit of a scene in TCOC that's been bouncing around in my head.
2. I watched Elf (The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!)
3. I made a pretty collage background for my computer.
Hmm, maybe that's it. It seems a lot more unproductive that it did in my head, But maybe soon I can get Andrew off the Playstation so I can play some expert mode "Kingdom Hearts" or some "SSX Tricky." (Which reminds me, Shaylagh, you need to lend me "Kingdom Hearts II" over Christmas.)
As I was typing that quote from Elf ("The best way to spread Christmas cheer..."), I realized how pathetic it is that I am thoroughly annoyed with the incorrect adjective use. It should be "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loudly for all to hear." I mean, saying "singing loud" is like saying "singing happy" or "singing sad." It just sounds imbicilic.
Yesterday I got my Yankee Swap present for our Super Six Swap. I tried to get another singing animal, but I couldn't find any good ones. (There was, however, a creepy monkey that spun around to the "I like to move it move it" song.) So my gift doesn't move or sing )(Jasmine, however, might still be able to eat it).
Can't wait to have a wild Christmas party with you all tomorrow. Plus, I might bring chocolate-covered pretzels :)
