The weather is so nice and warm down here in NY. It's like, 80 degrees. I love warm weather so much.
Things I have learned lately:
1. I am awesome at Wii Tennis.
2. I am awesome at whacking balls in Wii Golf, but I am sucky at putting.
3. Flailing my arms about in Wii Boxing makes me win.
4. My 10-year-old cousin who's a brown belt in Tae Kwan Do could probably kick my ass. I watched her regular and sparring classes this morning and she was pretty badass.
Vacation is almost over now. I am sad.

So it's been a while since I've updated. I guess it's because I've found other places to put my writing ramblings and fangirl squeals, so I guess I just update now whenever I have something normal to say. & also, I have a lot of other things to do (both leisure and non-leisure) that distract me from the internet and the time it would take me update. I know I really have no excuse. I'm just rambling.
So here are some things that I've been doing in case you're curious:
- Watching craploads of Gilmore Girls. I'm up to season four now. I've said this before, but Luke is so my favorite.
- Playing Final Fantasy VIII on my weekends, since I don't allow myself to play it during the week (and when would I have time to anyway?). Figured out how to totally power up my characters. Won't go into it all now because that would make everyone go "..."
- Re-watching season four of Lost to prepare myself for the big premiere night, Wednesday from 8:00 to 11:00 PM.
- Studying my butt off for midterms, which didn't go too badly except for the attempted rape by Algebra II (but I managed a B on it so that's all right).
- Preparing myself for the sheer awesomeness that is going to be Harry Potter Winterterm. I am going to WIN at trivia. (My other Winterterm is German, which is also going to be great.)
- Uploading new userpics, and also creating craploads of text-only icons (though I only have two in my icon stash now).
That should be about it. Everyone's always wanting to know what's going on in my life, but in truth it's quite boring when I try to take the fandom squee out of it. Just be thankful I'm not all "I <3 LAGUNA AND SQUALL & DESMOND IS MY CONSTA

Things I have accomplished today:
+ Wrote about 1,500 words. Am now up to 13,175 words.
+ Went shopping for some new school clothes and a few school supplies
+ Made 5 new Star Wars original trilogy icons.
+ Went through my "Created Icons" folder, deleting the ugly/not good icons and renaming most of my remaining icons
+ Started making a DVD for viewing at the next Super Six gathering. Figured out how to export videos from Nero Vision Essentials so that I can use them on Sonic MyDVD, the only DVD-burning program I have that actually works.
I've also realized the complete and total awesomeness of A New Hope. I think it's mostly because of Han Solo's similarity to Sawyer from Lost. They're alike in a lot of ways: at some points I'm half-expecting Han to call Leia "Freckles"... and then I realize that she's not Kate, because Leia > Kate. And it is fricking awesome to watch ANH with the knowledge of the prequel trilogy and that Darth Vader is Luke & Leia's father. I also love how Revenge of the Sith did such a good job with making Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan look incredibly similar to a younger version of Alec Guiness's Obi-Wan. But Luke's interest in Leia makes me squick - I guess I can't really blame him because he doesn't know that she's his twin sister. But still, almost-twincest is still icky.
Also, a general rule when it comes to playing Monopoly: even if you have a crapload of money and a couple of monopolies, if your one remaining opponent has bankrupted the other players, therefore gaining their properties, you are going to lose. It doesn't matter how much money you have. You will lose. Even if you are Darth Vader.
